Adam just went for his one year check-up.
He weighs 22 pounds and 12 ounces
That means he is in the 50% for weight
He is 30 and 1/2 inches long
That means he is in the 65% for his length
Adam still has 4 teeth on top and two on the bottom. The way he has been drooling the past two days though, he may be getting some more in. He hasn't gotten any new teeth since September.
Adam's sleep schedule has stayed the same for a while now. He takes 2 naps a day. One in the morning and one in the afternoon. We were out and about last week and he missed his morning nap and he was just fine. If we are at home though, with no distractions, he needs to take it or he is in a bad mood.
Adam is walking well and loves to throw and kick balls. He loves to just walk around with something in his hand. He is also really into toy cars. He loves to roll them back and forth on the floor while holding them. He loves music and loves to listen and watch the CD player. He still loves our cell phones, remotes, and water bottles and he gets extremely frustrated when he sees one and can't have it. We are hoping he finds some new favorite toys now that he has so many from Christmas and his birthday.
Adam is not talking yet. He babbles a lot of sounds. He says mamamamama and dadadadada and bubububububub dudududududu alot. He has been watching Baby Signing Time since he heard his friend Henry liked it so much. Adam can sign "milk" "eat" and "more." He gets so excited when he does it.
Adam loves to eat. He will eat ANYTHING. He has not met a food that he doesn't like. I continue to wonder where all his food goes. He is just like his father I guess. Adam started drinking cows milk last week and he loves it. I still nurse him in the morning but I am going to stop this week.
I can't believe I have a little toddler on my hands and I have a feeling that toddlerhood is going to be much more of a challenge than babyhood was.
Kevin and I are extremely blessed and happy to have such a wonderful and healthy little boy.

Adam's Birthday
We woke up Saturday morning and we were so excited to celebrate one of the best days ever! The day that Adam entered our lives. We had breakfast and then Adam opened his gifts from The Vaughans and us.He loved the truck from Summer, Gary and Henry
Then we played, took a nap and it was off to his kiddie party at Gymboree!
These are not Adam's guests. These were the party favors for all of Adam's friends. Ten of his friends came to the party.
Since the theme was monkeys, I made banana bread monkey cupcakes!
The birthday boy in action. Adam had a lot of fun. He wore himself out he had so much fun.

Grandma Shirley made a surprise appearance. I guess she didn't want to miss out on all the fun!
Bubbles!
We sang Happy Birthday and then everyone enjoyed their cupcakes.
YUMMY!
Adam is a lucky boy, he got many nice gifts from his friends.
Then it was time to go home, eat lunch and take a nap before our family party at our house. I got to use my Cricut machine to make the decorations for the party. I was excited!
My dad got Adam this shirt and crown. I tried all morning to get a picture of it on his head but he was not having it. Finally, after his nap I got one!
These were the party favors for our family.
I made these little frames for all of Adam's aunts and uncles at his baptism. So for his birthday they all got a little one year photo to update the frame.
Adam's cake
The jungle of monkeys!
We had Adam's favorite... pasta and lasagna.
Then we all piled in the family room for a slideshow and gifts.
Then it was time for THE CAKE!!!
It started out nice and clean.
Then it got a little messy
Adam is so sweet, he wanted his Daddy to have a taste too.
Then it got really messy!!After all that he took a quick bath, put on his PJs and played in the ball pit with Joey.
Adam gave GG (Great Grandma) a kiss and said good bye to all his guests before he went off to bed.
Adam had a great day. Thank you to everyone who made it such a special day for him.Christmas Day!

Santa came and left Adam two gifts. A Sit and Spin Zebra and a ball pit. Adam must have been a good boy to get such wonderful gifts! Adam got right in the ball pit as soon as he saw it.
After we unwrapped everything, we went to church and then to my parent's house.
Here is my brother Dave with his two Godsons. Adam and Joey. Of course they had to have matching outfits.
Merry Christmas!
With all the excitement at our house, we forgot for Adam to look in his stocking so we brought it to my parent's house. I love his little gingerbread man stocking.
It takes a miracle to get Adam and Joey together for a picture. This was as close as I got!
TOYS!!! We had bruch at my mom's house which was wonderful as always. Then we went to Kevin's parents house.
Adam got many wonderful toys. He got the red car with the yellow roof, which I always wanted as a kid.
I guess all he really needed was a box.
Adam was wiped by the end of the night.Christmas Eve

Adam had to set out Santa's milk and cookies early since we knew Adam would already be asleep by the time we got home from Christmas Eve.
Aunt Cathleen and Uncle Bill hosted the Farrar side of the family (Kevin's mom's side) over for Christmas Eve. We had a very nice time. They had a train around their tree which Adam loved!
Adam got an early birthday present, Sports PJs! Thanks Aunt Karen and Erin. Thanks for not wrapping it in X-mas paper too.
Adam loved to watch all the people. The Farrar family is big and it only keeps growing. There were about 40 people there.
Every year they do a grab bag and Adam got his great grandma, The Queen Bee. It was fun that the youngest person in the family got the oldest.
When Kevin was little he used to sit on the couch with his brothers and sister and read T'was the Night Before Christmas. Kevin's parents gave us the book last Christmas so we started that tradition with Adam this year.
