Visiting Daddy at Work

Since we have mom and tot class in Troy, we decided to take Daddy out to lunch and see where he works. Of course Adam was very shy.

He even got to sit at Daddy's desk.

The Zoo with Joey and Billie Jo

We went to the Detroit Zoo with Joey and Billie Jo before we left for Florida on a HOT day but it was fun.

We went to the Dinosaur display there. It is a little like Jurassic Park except that the dinosaurs don't eat you.
Adam checking out the Prairie Dogs.
Joey checking out the Prairie Dogs.

Katelyn really enjoyed the Arctic Circle.
Here is Adam checking out a sea lion.

About to walk into the water tunnel. He was a little freaked out by the ground. I think he thought it was moving because of the reflection of the light. He got down and started crawling.

Polar Bear!!! Why on Earth would a polar bear be hanging outside the water on a 97 degree day?

Joey and Katelyn

Joey and Adam had fun at the frog fountain.

A picture together.... when they are both smiling... of course not!

Katelyn

Thanks to Noreen for the "hair" accessory!

Katelyn looks so little in her highchair. She has been doing great eating her cereal. We are going to start veggies this week! Acorn Squash... here comes Katelyn!

Acorn WHAT?????

Emily and Adam's Play Date

We went to meet Baby Andrew before we left for Florida. Adam and Emily had fun. Andrew and Katelyn didn't know what was going on and Katy, Noreen and I got to catch up a little bit between all the madness.

Big Sister Emily!!!Sweet Baby Andrew James

Katelyn thinks that Mrs. Briggs is a lot of fun!

Nothing like riding a horse in your pull-up.

Tiger's Game

We went to the Tiger's Game yesterday with the fam. We had a good time, even though it was HOT and we didn't watch much of the game. Adam and Kevin rode the Tiger-Go-Round!

Adam was good at the seats. We were right against the railing so he could stand up and see everything. I think we were too far away for him to get into the game. Katelyn was fine as long as I was bouncing her and playing with her.
Talking about the game.
It was fun because Uncle Larry, Aunt Sue, Lauren, Alex, Allie and Nick were all at the game too. We met up with half of them before the game and half of them at the end of the game.

Lauren and Katelyn.

Before we left we rode the baseball ferris wheel.

Adam's Favorite Things to Say...

"Hold On!"

"Let's Take a Look."

"Holy Cow!"
We read "Froggy's Day with Dad" together and in the book the dad says, "Holy Cow!" Adam apparently liked it so now he says it all the time.

"Me Too!"

"What Dat?" and "Who Dat?"

"Gumpy, gumpy, gumpy" (Jumpy)

He also knows and recites all the words of the MSU fight song and the ABC song.

Oakland County Fair

Adam and Katelyn had quite the day today. We went to Partridge Creek and played in the little water play area with Grandma Perlin. Adam was so cute and he had fun but no pictures. Then we had lunch with Grandma Perlin and bought Adam his first pair of Crocs. I thought they would be perfect for Florida!
Then we went home for a nap and began our second part of the day. We went to the Oakland County fair today with Grandma Shirley. There was lots to see and do and it was HOT!

Waiting for the piggy race to start!

Adam got to see baby pigs that were just born eating from their mommy. The poor mommy. She is just a milk machine, caged in so she won't hurt the babies.

Look at all those baby piggies.
I am such a sucker for baby pigs. They had some really cute baby goats too. They also had baby cows that had just been born, so sweet.
Adam fed the goats. He was nervous and so excited when they ate from him.

Lots of bunnies! Adam loved all the bunnies.

Slide into the corn!

Adam liked playing in the corn.

It was fun and I was proud of my mom on her first big day out in a while!

Kate the Great

Katelyn loves to play on the blanket, roll around and play with toys. She scoots all over the blanket. She is close to starting to army crawl. She is a very determined little girl so far. She works hard to get where she want to go.

Spray Park with Matt

Mary and I met up with our kids today and went to the spray park in Clarkston. The kids had fun! Adam and Matt played nicely together! We played on the playground and had a picnic too! Very nice day with the Mooradians. (We missed you Shannon)

Stepping on the water hole

Gwen and Katelyn were there too. Katelyn didn't get wet but Gwen sure did. I think she got more wet than the boys.
