Adam's Check-Up

We went to the doctor yesterday to get an update on Adam's collarbone.  The doctor said it appears to be healing well.  There is a lot of new bone growth around it and cleared Adam for swimming and just about everything else except monkey bars!  We are so thrilled and excited.  He also doesn't have to wear his sling anymore which Adam is excited about!  Thank goodness little kids bones recover so quickly!

Eight Years!

I love this man...
We went to Mitchells for our anniversary dinner and then to The Hills for some drinks and music.  Thank you to Grandma and Grandpa Perlin for watching the kids.

PBS Kids Club Live

We went to PBS Kids Club Live again.  This is our 3rd year doing it.  I love this event!
Adam and Cilfford.  As you can see, even though Adam has a sling on his left arm, he still uses it!  He uses it much more than he should and does many things that he shouldn't.  It is very hard to tell a 4 years old that he needs to relax and give his shoulder a rest.
 SPIDERMAN in the house!
 Waiting for Barney to perform
OK, so Katelyn LOVES Barney.  She is also scared of pretty much anything, especially people in costumes!  So I was curious how watching Barney perform from 3rd row was going to go.  I thought she would cling on to me for dear life and cry the whole show.  This is how she started off when he came on stage...

I held her for a minute and then she collected herself and had a blast!  I asked if she wanted to get down off my lap so she could dance and dance she did!  She had so much fun!

I just sat there is shock that she was jumping around and dancing.  It was so unlike her!  It gave me hope for the future!

After the show we went to look at the farm animals
Spiderman got to play the violin

They both got to make hats
Adam met George, he was so excited!  He loves George!

Big Girl Time!

So we started potty training this past Sunday.  This week was wide open and we had no plans to go anywhere so it was the perfect time!  I heard that girls are suppose to be easier to train than boys, we will see!  We are on day 4 right now.  We had 3 pee-pees in the potty and one accident this morning.  We will see what the afternoon holds.  Katelyn is VERY excited to wear big girl underwear!  I think her favorite part of all of this is the M&Ms and getting to pick what underwear she wants to wear for the day.  She also loves to pick out her Pull-Ups at night time.  By the way... I love Crocs for potty training.  You just rinse them off with a hose and you are ready to go!
Of course... if Katelyn is going to potty train so is Lucy!  Katelyn has 2 dolls that she loves to pieces.  I highly recommend the Baby Stella line to anyone who is looking for a doll for a baby or toddler, they are so cute.  Grandma Shirley got Katelyn a potty for her dolls, underwear for Lucy and stickers for Katelyn and Lucy when they go potty.  Katelyn loves it!  Her other doll Stella is still a baby and is still in diapers but sometimes she likes to use the potty too.

The Zoo 2013

We went for our summer zoo trip last week.  Katelyn was an angel, Adam was much more challenging but we made it through.  We met Joey and Bille Jo there there!

 Oh the frog pond!
 BIG TURTLES!

Joey is apparently going to become a professional photographer.

 Polar Bear Fountain

 Feeding the Giraffe
 Look at that tongue!

This picture was Adam's idea!  He was excited to get his picture taken by the big polar bear.

 Riding in the wagon!

Fun day at the zoo!
