We celebrate Katelyn's Birthday today with her friends.  

She still was not in the best mood but she hung in there.

Happy Birthday to our Little Cupcake

 Saturday Evening, the Perlins and Arends came over to our house to celebrate Katelyn turning one.  I think everyone had a good time, except Katelyn.  She was not feeling well which just made her more clingy than usual and she cried a lot but such is life.

 The theme of her party was "cupcakes."  I made chocolate peanut butter, Oreo, Key Lime Pie, and just regular vanilla.  Katelyn got a BIG cupcake for her personal cake to dig into.

 

 Katelyn apparently does not like lit candles.  She cried when we lit her candle on Tuesday and she cried again on Saturday.  She cried the whole time everyone sang to her.  It reminded me of myself when I was little.  I would crawl under the table because I did not like people singing to me.

 Adam helped blow out the candle and end the torture.

 She had zero interest in eating the cake.  She just cried and wouldn't even let me feed it to her.

 Daddy tried and had no success.

 She was happier when we just forgot about the cake and played.

 We watched her slideshow and opened gifts.

 Katelyn got a lot of wonderful gifts.  She is a lucky girl.  Thank you to everyone who sent or brought gifts for our little girl.

 After presents, I took Katelyn upstairs to see if she would eat some cake.  She still wasn't interested but I carved out a hole and put some puffs in it to get get started.  She ate some but not very much.

 I made this hat for Katelyn, I knew she wouldn't wear it but I was hoping for one picture with it on.  Instead I found these on my camera the next day.  Thanks Joe and Dave... at least someone wore the hat.

 

Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate.  I would have loved to get pictures of the birthday girl with her guests but I didn't even attempt.  She only wanted to be with Mommy and Daddy.
