Poor Kate

 So Katelyn was helping me pull grass out of the flower beds yesterday and all of a sudden Kevin brought to my attention that she was bleeding.  I had no idea what happened because she never cried.  We thought maybe she got scratched by a branch.  Then she wakes up this morning and her eye is all swollen.  It looks worse in person.  I took her to urgent care and since she didn't have a fever or rash or discharge coming from her eye they think it is just some kind of an insect bite and they told us to give her antihistamine.  Two different doctors came to look at her.  Hopefully she will wake up tomorrow her eye will be better.  Now we think it was probably a spider and we disrupted its nest while we were pulling weeds.

Kyla's Birthday Party

 The girl across the street celebrated her tenth birthday and invited Adam and Katelyn to come.  She is such a sweet girl and she truly loves Adam and Katelyn and they truly love her.  She had Dan the Creature Man at her party.

Katelyn won't pet a dog but she was petting snakes, alligators and more!

Tailgating, Lightning, Game

 We took the kids to the USF vs MSU game a couple weeks ago.  They had a good time even though we had to wait for the hour lightning delay.  We left a little earlier than usual.  Katelyn fell asleep at the game she was so tired.  I don't know how you can fall asleep at a football game!

There was a HUGE willow tree that was here.  The kids would play under it, swing from it and have fun with it.  We got to tailgate and it was gone.  We couldn't believe it. So Rob and Kate planted a branch in its place.

Apples

 Kevin and I took the kids to Spicer's to pick apples.  They had a great time as usual.  We took the tractor ride out there, pick apples, had cider and donuts, played on the playground and bounce houses and feed the animals!  We will go back soon for our pumpkins!

Troy Daze

 My mom and I took the kids to Troy Daze last weekend.  I was excited to go since I hadn't been there since high school.  I went as a kids every year and loved it.  I was sad they changed location and it was a bit different but the kids didn't notice, they had a great time.  Adam was excited there was an Iron Man scarecrow.

First Day of 4 Year Old Preschool

 Adam had his first day of school this past week.  He has the same teacher that he did last year.  He is in the 4 year old program and goes to school 3 days a week in the mornings.  He loves school.  Last year I took the morning off to take him.  He was crying and was nervous about going.  This year, he was confident and ready!  I told him that I wished I could take him and he said, "Don't worry Mom, I will be fine!"  Aunt Mary took him and he was indeed fine.

Tailgating

 I took the kids up to State last Friday to tailgate.  We came home before the game.  They had so much fun!  They love to tailgate!
